Connect App Store Connect to SubmitCheck

Add Apple submission evidence with the supported team or individual API-key flow.

Open connection setup

  1. Open SubmitCheck and choose Settings.

  2. Select Connect App Store Connect.

  3. Choose the key type that matches your Apple API key: Team key or Individual key.

  4. Enter the fields shown for that type and choose the corresponding .p8 file. Team keys require the matching Issuer ID and Key ID.

  5. Select Connect App Store Connect and review the result.

Use the access you need

Use a dedicated key and the minimum role and app access needed for the evidence you intend to collect. Individual keys inherit the user’s access; team keys have a broader team scope. Do not assume a role grants every evidence category.

SubmitCheck reads approved App Store Connect data. It does not edit metadata, upload builds, or submit apps. An Apple role may allow writes outside SubmitCheck even though SubmitCheck’s own operations are read-only.

Current key storage

The key is sent through the authenticated setup and encrypted in server-side Google Secret Manager for your workspace. It is not returned to the browser. Older guidance saying the key stays only in browser memory is superseded.

Never send the .p8 file through a support message or include it in a report payload.
