Connect App Store Connect to AppReport

Set up your Apple connection and understand capability-specific access.

Prepare a dedicated connection

Open Settings and select Connect App Store Connect. The current setup uses a team API key with its matching Issuer ID, Key ID, and .p8 file. Keep the original file safe and never send it through email or chat.

Review the requested permissions

Reporting, app catalog access, and first-time Analytics report setup have different permission needs. Follow the current dialog’s explanation for your setup. Team keys cover the Apple team’s apps; Admin is a broad permission and must not be treated as a narrowly read-only role.

AppReport’s Apple integration reads app data and supports the specific Analytics report-request setup it describes. It does not edit your store listing or release your apps. Do not broaden access merely because a report has no files yet.

Verify and review

  1. Enter the IDs and select the corresponding .p8 file.

  2. Select Verify key and connect.

  3. Review the resulting connection and capability statuses.

  4. Choose tracked apps. If Sales and Trends requires a Vendor Number, use Apple’s numeric Vendor Number, not the Issuer ID.

The key is stored in protected server-side secrets and is not shown again. A successful connection does not mean every source report is ready.
