Why rankings, scores, or history are unavailable

Understand data and model status without confusing missing evidence with a zero result.

Keyword Intelligence displays availability limits instead of inventing rankings or scores. An unavailable value does not mean your app has no demand, no relevance, or rank zero.

Check Data and model status

The status panel appears in the research dashboard. As of September 19, 2026, the live service reports:

  • Models await publication: scoring is not ready to provide published model results.

  • Apple catalog: available: catalog research is available as a separate source.

  • Apple popularity: Apple Ads access required: popularity coverage is not established by your App Store Connect metadata key.

  • Organic rank collection awaits App Store validation: catalog results must not be interpreted as validated organic ranks.

These are service availability states. Reconnecting your metadata key or repeatedly analyzing the same term will not activate a missing scoring model or validate a ranking provider.

Other messages you may encounter

  • Insufficient evidence: the required validated observations are missing.

  • Insufficient history: there are not enough observations to support a trend or history-based result.

  • Partial: only part of the requested evidence was retrieved. Missing items are unknown.

  • Stale: retained evidence is older than the relevant freshness target; check its original date.

  • Unsupported: the requested source or context is not supported.

What to do

  1. Check the storefront, keyword language, device, and selected app.

  2. Read the message for the individual metric as well as the overall status panel.

  3. If a request failed temporarily, use the available retry control and check the new result.

  4. If the error persists, contact support with the exact message and research context.

Do not interpret a gap in a chart as no movement. A missing observation is unknown. Likewise, no competitor results means there is no usable matching evidence in the current dataset, not proof that the competitor ranks for no keywords.

Use Keyword Intelligence Support if a source that previously worked becomes unavailable.
