Connect App Store Connect to Keyword Intelligence

Import your apps and localized listings with an optional, read-only Apple connection.

Connect App Store Connect when you want to import apps and their localized listing metadata into Keyword Intelligence. Manual research remains available without a connection.

Prepare your Apple key

  1. In App Store Connect, open Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API → Team Keys.

  2. Ask an Account Holder or Admin to create a dedicated team key. The suggested name is KeywordIntelligence.

  3. Choose Marketing access for the listing metadata workflow.

  4. Download the private .p8 file and keep it secure. Copy the Issuer ID and Key ID for that same key.

If Apple shows Request Access, the Account Holder must request API access and wait for approval. Team keys cover all apps on their Apple team. See Apple’s API key guide for current setup and key-management instructions.

Connect in Keyword Intelligence

  1. Open Settings and choose Connect App Store Connect.

  2. Enter the Issuer ID and Key ID, then select the matching .p8 file.

  3. Choose Verify key and connect and wait for the result.

  4. Use Choose your apps to select the apps you want in your dashboard.

For an individual API key, select Use an individual API key instead. Enter the Key ID and .p8 file; no Issuer ID is used. The key’s user needs the appropriate Marketing and app access.

What access does this grant?

Marketing is an Apple role that can permit metadata edits in Apple’s tools. Keyword Intelligence itself only reads Apple data. It does not change listings, submit apps, import analytics reports, or manage advertising campaigns.

A successful connection does not establish keyword popularity or organic rank coverage. Catalog access and available listing metadata are checked separately.

Update or disconnect

In Settings, the App Store Connect section provides Update API key and Disconnect Apple key. Disconnecting stops use of that connection; selected app contexts remain in the workspace. Revoking a key in Apple is a separate action and affects any service using that key.

Upload keys only through the secure connection form. Never send a .p8 file, private key contents, or your Apple password in a support message.
