New records start with reminders one month and one week before expiration, at 9:00 AM unless you change them.

  1. Open the document and confirm its expiration date.
  2. Check that the reminders you want are enabled and scheduled for a future time.
  3. Review RenewalKit's notification status in its reminder settings.
  4. In iPhone or iPad Settings, allow notifications for RenewalKit and review alert presentation.
  5. Check Focus and Scheduled Summary if alerts are delayed or quiet.

Changing defaults

Default reminder settings apply to new documents. Editing those defaults does not replace every existing document's schedule; review the reminders on existing records separately.

Does the app need to stay online?

Reminder requests are scheduled locally and iOS handles delivery. Already scheduled local notifications can work offline. Permission, device settings, and operating-system behavior affect whether and how you see an alert. Keep a separate plan for important deadlines.
